Ford Flex Summary

Ford Flex 2015 is a crossover for six-seven passengers and available in SE, Limited grades, SEL and in front or all-wheel-drive configurations. There are two V6 engines available in model which is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

What’s new for 2015?

This recently launched model comes with three exterior colors, an upgraded navigation system with adaptive cruise control, 3D mapping, forward collision warning with inflatable rear seat belts, blind-spot warning and brake support. Heated mirrors on SE models and push-button start on SEL variants come standard for 2015.

Under the hood

Ford Flex 2015 features a choice of twin-turbo or naturally aspirated ‘Eco-Boost’ V6 motors. Base 3.5-liter V6 gained 20 additional horsepower for total of 287 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque. Ford returns 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive. Opt all-wheel-drive and it reduces mileage slightly to 17/23 mpg.

Choose Ford Flex Limited and you will get 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 Eco-Boost that generates 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes only with all-wheel drive and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

According to Edmunds performance testing Flex sprints to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds which is 2 seconds faster than the average class. Fuel economy rating of model reduce to 18 mpg combined (16/23)
